Product Hunt Hunter

For founders who want to launch with momentum

I'm Corey Haines — a Product Hunt hunter with 4,000+ followers on Product Hunt, multiple Top 5 launches, and a Tastemaker badge. If you're launching a startup, I can help you land on the leaderboard.

Product Hunt launches still work — but only when the launch is planned weeks in advance, the audience is warmed up, and the hunter is someone the community already trusts. I've worked on Product Hunt launches that hit Top 5 of the day, advised dozens of founders through Conversion Factory, and built an audience I can use to amplify your launch: 4,000+ followers on Product Hunt, 30,000+ on Twitter, 16,000+ on LinkedIn, and 30,000+ newsletter subscribers — all marketers and founders who actually show up on launch day.

What I help with

Most launches fail because the work happens in the wrong order. Here's where I add the most value:

  • Hunting your launch — I submit your product on launch day and bring my audience, network, and credibility to the post.
  • Pre-launch strategy — picking the right launch date, building a teaser page, warming up a notify-me list, and lining up the people who'll show up in the first hour.
  • Launch assets — tagline, gallery images, demo video, first comment, and the landing page the launch will actually convert on.
  • Day-of execution — sequenced email and social pushes, comment responses, and keeping the momentum going past hour six (where most launches stall).
  • Post-launch follow-through — turning the spike of traffic into signups, customers, press, and inbound that compounds for months.

Why hire me as your Product Hunt hunter

I've been on Product Hunt for years and have worked on launches like SavvyCal, Baremetrics, Learn Copywriting, and Truelist. My profile carries Top 5 Launch, Tastemaker, Tastemaker 5, and Tastemaker 10 badges — the signals the Product Hunt community uses to weigh a hunter's credibility.

I'm also the founder of SwipeFiles, my newsletter for marketers and founders, and run Conversion Factory, a marketing agency for B2B SaaS. I've worked with 100+ startups on positioning, websites, and growth — so the hunt isn't a one-off favor, it's the front end of a real launch campaign.

Most hunters are either inactive accounts trying to monetize a badge, or community celebrities who'll hunt anything. I only hunt products I'd genuinely use or recommend, and I bring the rest of a launch playbook with me. More about me here, or see how I think about AI-native marketing.

Common questions

What does a Product Hunt hunter actually do?

The hunter submits your product to Product Hunt and is publicly credited on the launch. A good hunter brings their own audience and credibility to the post — which usually means more upvotes, more comments, and a better leaderboard finish. You can hunt your own product, but most successful launches use an experienced hunter.

How far in advance should I reach out?

Ideally three to six weeks before your target launch date. That's enough time to build a teaser, warm up a notify-me list, prep launch assets, and line up the people who'll show up in the first hour. Last-minute hunts are possible but rarely hit the leaderboard.

Do you guarantee a Top 5 finish?

No — anyone who promises that is selling vibes. What I can do is help you stack the odds: the right hunter, the right date, the right assets, and a real pre-launch list. That combination is how most Top 5 launches actually get there.

Do you only hunt SaaS?

No. SaaS is where I have the deepest network, but I'll happily hunt AI tools, indie products, dev tools, marketing tools, and consumer apps if it's something I'd genuinely use or recommend.
